GEORESEARCH is a non-profit, non-university research institution based in Wals/Salzburg, founded 2016.
Some problems require creative solutions. These are the problems we at GEORESEARCH are most interested in. Finding visionary solutions to some of the most challenging problems of alpine and urban areas is our aim and dedication. We think interdisciplinary and connect research questions across our three core research areas GEO, CONSTRUCTION and MONITORING. By applying methods and techniques of various fields, such as risk management, ‘Building Information Modeling’ (BIM) and cutting-edge monitoring technologies, we aim to explore and develop innovative as well as efficient solutions for the private and public sector, always in close collaboration with our international competence network.
P-Swarm is a project aimed at generating photogrammetric data more efficiently by employing multiple drones flying in swarm mode instead of just one. We are currently developing a swarm box, comprising five UAVs, for a smart and fast swarm data generating process. It allows for three different acquisition modes and real swarm communication and is adjusted to a DEM in order to ensure a precise flight, even in high alpine and other challenging environments.

GMP Defence is an European technology integrator of advanced protection systems including Nightingale Security’s fully autonomous ‘Blackbird’ UAVs and various anti-drone systems. The website of the company is www.gmpdefence.eu / LinkedIn: GMP Defence / Twitter: @GMP_Defence
‘Blackbird’ is the only drone available on the market with fully autonomous takeoff, operation, landing and recharching. Together with its own base station and integrated weather system it is capable to perform patrol, inspection, escort and alarm functions, as well as to work even during difficult weather conditions. It can also monitor, recognize and follow objects, as well as avoid obstacles on its way using set of cameras and sensors.

Project AlphaLink is developing unmanned multibody aircraft with superior endurance and payload capacity.
Fixed-wing drones connected at their wing tips achieve a high-aspect ratio while maintaining a low structural weight.
The scalability of this technology serves a large variety of commercial applications ranging from aerial observation to
the operation of High-Altitude Platform for internet provision.
The AlphaLink technology was developed from scratch at TU Berlin by aerospace engineer Alexander Köthe, current Chief Engineer.
Together with Dr. Daniel Cracau, the current CEO, AlphaLink is building the first model for commercial use in cooperation with TU Berlin.
