In the experimental garden of Wageningen University they know everything about Fruit Culture 4.0. With help of innovation, cultivating becomes a piece of cake as Researchers of Wageningen University demonstrated on Tuesday 5th June 2018 at the innovation market for fruit precision growing in Randwijk.
What still seemed science fiction five years ago is now really usable and achievable. Drones look at what is needed and fully automatic machines perform it. Fruit growers were amazed by all this innovation. It is also necessary to be able to process the ever-growing orchards.
That way the grower will not even have to enter the orchard on his machines. The new machines drive itself with the help of GPS.
