Wing has permission to launch its drone delivery service in the United States. Google’s sister company wants to start deliveries in remote areas of the state of Virginia in the coming months.Wing is part of Alphabet, the parent company of Google. In its own words, a fleet of small aircraft with an automated navigation system has been developed over the last six years. The drones can deliver food, medicine and other items within minutes of request.

It is the first time that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Ministry of Transport have given permission for this. Wing is now in possession of certificates that small American airline companies also hold. Other companies have received permission to conduct demonstration flights, but no certificates have yet been issued.
