The Chinese manufacturer Walkera has introduced a new drone, which is optimized for bridge inspections.

The QL900 is a hexacopter designed for industrial applications, with a great focus on infrastructure inspections. The powerful hexacopter platform offers an above average resistance to heavy wind around structures such as bridges.

Unlike other drones, the QL900 camera has been placed on the top of the drone. As a result, the device is ideally suited for infrastructure inspections, for example, inspections of bridges.

The camera is equipped with an 18x optical zoom lens, can capture video in 4K and makes 16-megapixel pictures. Thanks to the 3-axis gimbal, stability is guaranteed, the camera can rotate 300 degrees and tilts at an angle of -45 to 90 degrees.

Competitor DJI recently introduced the M200, which also offers the possibility of placing a camera on the top of the device.
